Exhibition - Transitional space
When: Thursday 12 February 2026 to Wednesday 22 April 2026
Location: The Gallery at Bovey Paradiso
An exhibition of paintings by Anita Roye capturing and releasing raw emotion through layers of brush strokes and mark making.
Anita’s interest and work in mental health is integral to her art. She writes, “My dual role as an art psychotherapist and artist has given rise to abstract paintings that bridge both worlds. Paint becomes metaphorical skin, and the canvas—the painting surface—holds the stories of destruction and repair.”
We are very pleased to have the opportunity to show Anita’s work in the Gallery and encourage you to allow some time to spend with her paintings.
Anita says, “My art invites viewers to peel back the layers, revealing the profound interplay of emotion, resilience, bringing awareness to the physicality of the paint and the process it has gone through, acting as a metaphor for a very human experience.”
The exhibition runs until 22nd April and the Gallery is open Mondays and Wednesdays 9.30am - 2pm. Please check the website for additional opening times.
